The Universe smiled in welcome. Another star was born. It was 31 December, 1979, when Richard Earl Frederick A.K.A BRUK OUT cried his first note. The second of four brothers, he was raised by both parents in a small ghetto community called Fond Cole, in the Nature Isle of the Caribbean, Dominica.
His earliest inspiration in the music business came from the prime dancehall icons like Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, Ninja Man, Cutty Ranks and most predominantly Bounty Killer.
During his school days, Bruk Out and his friends would use sticks and pails as instruments and had fun DJ-ing on the roadside. They later formed a group which they called BFS, Brothers, Friends and Supporters and did a number of performances island-wide.
Bruk Outs real major breakthrough really came when he came to Antigua in August of 2004. Andre Piper A.K.A Chronic X recorded his first three singles Honestly, Fine Up, and No Way, which were aired on the local radio stations and highly rated by the general public. Honestly also hit the charts in Dominica. In July of 2006, his younger brother Michael Frederick, also called Mykye B, joined him in Antigua- a musical bond which resulted in more opportunity for the expansion of his musical career.
His first stage performance in Antigua was a small dancehall competition in Grays Farm. In addition he made guest appearances at various gigs in his homeland Dominica. His voice and style also became a popular choice on the program Rage in the Cage- a live dancehall competition on Vybz FM Radio in Antigua.
January 2007 was a turning point in Bruk Outs career when he became acquainted with Steve Jackson, a musical connoisseur, engineer and proprietor of Pelican Lodge Studio, considered to be the best studio in Antigua. Steve has recorded musical giants like The Police and Stevie Wonder just to name two.
Bruk Out is currently recording his album GOT 2 USE IT B4 I LOSE IT at Pelican Lodge Studuio. brukout is also being working on alot of singles an combinations with other artist. look out for alots more from brukout by the end of 2007.
